Minnesota Country Dance Co-op invites you to participate in an evening of dance in the style of 18th & early 19th c. English country dancing. Dancing master John Playford first published such dances in 1650. The Ball dances will be previewed February 5, 12, 19, and 26 at Tapestry Folkdance Center. There will be live music on the 5th, 6 to 9 pm ($7). All the other dances are from 7 to 9 pm ($5).
Wear what you can put together for a Victorian Sci-fi Fantasy costume (ie. leather, brass, copper, gears, goggles) to Steampunk Playford. At 5:30 p.m. we offer an optional vegetarian light supper ($10 each) prior to the evening’s festivities. Dancing begins at 7:00 p.m. with members of Coleraine English Country Dance Band. |
